I've been having strong bouts of saddening nostalgia since last week, as I only have 2 months before I leave home for college.

Anyone else?

I have sad nostalgia for high school a lot… and I’ve been in college for two years.

It happens.

You’ll come to all of the same questions. “Did I choose the right college?” “Could I have gotten more scholarships if I had tried harder?” “What if I had spent welcome week with this group instead of that?”

Don’t get me wrong. I love my college. And I have good friends. And high school was not that great. But high school really is a time where you’ve got your whole future ahead of you, you don’t have mounting debt, and changing your mind about certain things doesn’t have crazy consequences. It’s also a very comfortable place.

College is a totally different environment and it’s normal to get anxious or yearn for what is familiar.
