That last itsy bitsy teeny weeny...

Has anyone ever improved from a 650 to a 750 in the CR section?

My score report says I got 12 wrong, and it seems that I would have to get about half of those right to get my 750. This seems like a really small leeway. How difficult/easy is this to pull off?

well, to get a 750, you can only get 3 or 4 wrong. its definitely possible.

Man, that's really harsh. I wish you could miss that many and still get an 800... :(

It is pretty rough.

I'm in a similar boat, I got a 650 in April (hoping for a nice pretty increase from my June test), but I would LOOOOOVE to end up with a 750 in Oct.

sigh the low end of my range from the blue book was 660 :(

isn't there a CD version of the bluebook? SO that your score is automatically calculated after you're done?

I dunno about that, but the book says that after you take a test, if you go to the website and put in all your answers, it will give you a little score report.

I have a 750 and it was 4 wrong, none omitted.

i only have done that once on the practice test, never on the real thing. careless mistakes are my weakness.

Careless mistakes on CR?

i dont like the online thing, since it takes forever to input every single letter, might as well correct it yourself

well the only real faux test(lol) that i took was the one on CB, and i did it on june 2nd. i messed up my CR, and got a 620. i found the jun 3rd CR sections pretty ok, but considering the 620 i got on the previous day, a 700 or close seems a little too much to hope for. i'm just keeping my fingers crossed for now....

"i dont like the online thing, since it takes forever to input every single letter, might as well correct it yourself"

haha, I kind of get a rush correcting it myself. My stomach drops a bit every time I find an error XD

i got a CR score of 710 on the real thing! so i guess the faux test really wasnt a good predictor...

^ Maybe... but 710 isn't really that bad.

Good job on the 710. I'm beginning to seriously wonder if I can get higher than a 700 on CR :(

The blue book tests are probably a more accurate predictor of your score the more of them that you take... if you'd taken a couple more, you probably would have done better, more like your actual score.

i improved by 130 points on cr...dec sat to june sat

shop-what did you do?

Just by practicing out of the blue book?

well this was after the ap englange language test so i practiced some reading comprehension for the ap exam out of the cliffs ap prep book (about 8 hours of practice) and then the day before the sat i spent about 2 hours on kaplan practicing the cr section

simple as that
