does anyone remember what letter choice they put for the banquet one?

yeah but degree gives you negatives for sin, etc, so you want radians

fireman- it was -4 i believe

i put C..or B...i know I put 70 and im pretty confident im right

Im pretty sure I put B..

There was only one triple and the rest were double... right?

One of hte -4 ones. I think... -4,-1... i really don't remember. All you had to see was if the distance between the two points was sqrt(29) i think.

that was def harder than i though. the last question (like sin^2x something something) was hard, so was the log one. agh!!

I know for the banquet one the TOTAL was 83.. I minused 2, 2 ,3 ,5 and something else and I got 68..

I think yours for -4 was right. I looked at one point and saw you went certain y down and certain x over and the same would go for the other point.

Where did you get minus 5 from fireman? I think I put 68 but I have a good feeling it was wrong. Log one wasn't hard at all, it was just one basic rule of logs that I looked at the day before during last minute studying for math.

I don't remember straight. But im pretty sure 68 was right because (C) was 70 and i think it is a trap for people who didn't subtract 2 two times.

This was the third time I took the ACT and I have to say this was defintely the hardest math section of the three I've taken. I had a 32 and a 33 the last two times I took it but this time I just hope I got a 30 on it. Being rusty from the summer didn't help much either but I felt that this was the hardest ACT math section I've done.

I would see 3 hard questions, move on and do like 5 others and the come back and something would click or I would get really creative with my calculator or realize some part of the question. I really think that I could have gotten a 34 on math or something. I'm just glad that I can get my scores earlier than the SAT which takes like 20 days whereas the ACT has them online(w/ hack) in a little over a week.

I hated the math, the questions in the end were easier than the earlier ones!

I agree, that doesn't make much sense. With the earlier ones I would have to skip them and come back to them 5 questions later before something clicked.

You guys are awesome. Thanks for responding so quickly!
Anyone care to predict the curve on this?

I'm hoping for -4 = 34 LOL

Here's curves for Mathematics from all the ACT tests I have:

The Real ACT:
Test 1: -4 = 33
Test 2: -4 = 32
Test 3: -4 = 32

Preparing for the ACT (Online .pdf): -4 = 34

That makes me feel a lot better. So, considering that the majority of people said this was the hardest that they took, I think it's safe to say the curve will be around -4 = 34. Hopefully better.

I think better. I got a 34 in 50 minutes without checking over my work on the online prep and I didn't think it was that difficult. So I think you're safe.

The Parallelogram: (-4,-1) is right.
The Banquet: I got 68, and I'm pretty confident that is right. Just set each of the three sports in columns, then subtract the number of athletes from each column, except for one...hard to explain, but I'm pretty sure it was 68.

For the garden one, with the bushes or whatever, what'd you guys get? I got 16...but it might have been 27...

I believe this point has been brought up before, but, how can it be 16? There a three rows, so the answer must be divisible by three.

You have to find the number of rose bush centers you can fit into a 20 foot row with two feet in between each rose bush center and then multiply it by three. So, if x = a rose center, visually:

2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2

That's 9 rose bush centers. Multiply that times three rows, and you get 27.
