Hello, this post is just about that one taint in your high school GPA.
To start I'd give you a little of a background on myself:
Im a solid 3.8 student with 30ish ACT and many ECs.

This past January, I suffered a very severe concussion, leaving me out of school for about a month. Since then I have fallen very far behind in school, and I have about a 3.4, which is quite abnormal for me. This leads to must stress because it seems to strain my chances of getting in the college I've been aiming for - Michigan. I have worked endlessly to get my grades up but it seems like my GPA will not end up where I desire it to be.

Do colleges understand circumstances like these when, truly, you are unable to bounce back to your normal grades? Is there anything I can use to my advantage with what happened?
