<p>One of the essays one had the option of choosing for U of South Carolina Honors College was something along the lines of, “Explain why a generic cookie-cutter essay topic is an ineffective method of evaluating prospective students?”</p>
<p>I didn’t choose that one, but I think it could have been fun.</p>
<p>One essay I did for U of South Carolina Honors College asked something along the lines of, “A wealthy donor has set aside the funds for you to create your own USCHC course. What course would you create, and what do you expect the outcome will be?”</p>
<p>I actually really liked that prompt. It was unusual, interesting, and encouraged the student to think outside the box.</p>
