Well it's a little over 20 days until my SAT D-Day. This is a progression thread, feel to comment/ignore whatever you wish. My starting score is 1470 in Dec 2011. Didn't start prepping until early august (sometime during the olympics). From then until about 2 weeks ago my prepping was intense, clocking in +30 hours a week. It's been a little slow for the past 2 weeks due to school and such, but now it's time to pick it up. My current range on the practice test is (1680~1950). Will be taking a full test again tomorrow, til then!

My current situation is same as yours! I’ll be posting my practice results here as well, if you want!

I’m really mad at CR section.
If you guys have any tips or many tricky questions, please don’t hesitate to share them.
:3

Well, I did a reading test today, along some other things, and I scored a 600. It is a shame though, I cannot get of the 580~630 range. I guess I’ll never get out of that range before the Oct. SAT. I’ll do a full test tomorrow and keep you updated!

The more the better!

As for CR, it’s kinda like a search and destroy mission for the answers on the long and short passages. Make sure you truly understand the question and back up the answer that you find in the text. As for the vocab, it really helps to know your roots. Direct Hits is a good book for essential vocab.

So for today I took a full-length test, here’s the results
CR:580~640
M:520~600
W:600~730 [with 8 on the essay]
Total:1700~1970
Good in terms of timing, only went over on 2-3ish sections. I think I’ll review answers tomorrow then read some Barron’s 2400/Direct Hits. My math score keeps dropping(started at 620 scaled), any suggestions? I did about 5 BB test, 1 from 1st ed. and 4 from 2nd ed.

I did a timed full test and here are the results:

CR: 600-590.
M: 560.
W: 770(with 8 essay)
Total: 1930.

I’m kind of happy with my English results, but the math score is just horrible. What do you think? Any advices?

By the way, I’m always scoring somewhere between 1850 and 1950. Do you think that I can get the same on Oct.'s test? That would make me very happy.

What I did was study the one part Math which I scored lowest. I spent 8
hours the day before the test doing practice tests. Then I reviewed every wrong answer after every test and did those problems again. It brought my math score from a 650 to a 730. I already had a 730 in reading . Alot of colleges will take the best overall. 1460/2140 now. Good luck

If your range is between 1850 & 1950 you should get somewhere around the middle, depending on the scoring. You should get no less than 1800 (I’m assuming you have the Blue Book right?)

Well it’s time to get back to fixing my math problem, I think I might just take another full test tonight if time permits.

So for today I reviewed the test I took yesterday, except for the math(because I no longer have the book…) Ughh couldn’t get much done today…
Well I think I’ll finish the night reading Barron’s 2400 and possibly do some work on the PWN the SAT math site.

Well I wish I manage to score anything above 1800 in Oct.; that would make me very happy.
I did another English test today, results:
W:750
CR:650
Total: 1400.
I’m very happy because of the CR score! xd

The writing score, oh that beautiful writing score…

Going to take another practice test in a bit, hopefully this time my score touches 2000!

Alright! Best of luck! I’m out of practice resources, so I’ll be studying some words until I’m able to get a new book!

critical reading cant go abov 600 x_x…my range has been around 1900 for 3 tests uptil now

3 tests? 3 tests? mine hasn’t changed in over 10 tests! :/

critical reading sucks man…all i can do is improve my math score

HelloKittyx, if you want I can give you some extra resources. Just PM me your email :)

… and here the test that I took last night/this morning
Note-I took this test half asleep, hungry, and slightly delusional.
CR:540
M:620
W:550~(with 8 on essay, 440 without)
Total: 1710ish :(

&now it’s back to the daily grind…

Just got 10 English tests from the Real SAT; it is called Real SAT part 4. I’ll work on these and posts results out of 1600. Thanks for the help though, Rebellion510, appreciated!

Glad you could find some more stuff!

Ugh I didn’t really study for yesterday(it was a mandatory “break” day)
So today I’ll review the test I finished in the morning and cramp some prep in(do I dare take another practice test?)
Well at least its the weekend…
