did anyone actually write a 300 book about themselves? how do u do this?

.............................you've GOT to be kidding me.

..................................................................If you are actually asking this question, are YOU SURE Penn is the RIGHT school for you? Not to be mean or anthing?

write 10 pages a day for a month?
OR
the question only applies to those who've written their autobiographies (which UPENN expects every respectable applicant to have done by now, that's why they ask this question)

so if you didn't write a book YOU ARE DOOMED!!

:p

I wrote a 291 page book which was not my autobiography
Does that count?

:p

no thats just depressing

no akash, it doesn't count because UPENN specifically wants a 300page book.

but don't worry, you're only 9 pages short - quick go finish!

:D

gianievve, you know the book has already been published
Will just have to wait for the next edition ;)

yeah ive halfway done...around page 160.

hahaha :-D

dude when i saw the app i freaked out
but luckily i knew last year so i wrote most of it over the summer

actually in my opinion the question coulda been understood in 2 different ways: 1-the autobiography stops at age 17 and u submit something that happened in the past ...or 2 your autobiography deals with your entire life and you submit a page of what WILL happen to you in the future, how did you interpret it?

isnt it funny how all the RD kids are just catching on to what we EDers knew like 5 months ago...

ya. hahah this is the Regular Decisions batch of kids.
we should let them play by themselves

clearly they aren't as up to scratch as us EDers...lol i'm so mean.

i interpreted it the former way, where today i finished my 300 page autobiography so i wrote about something that happened in march. and i started in August lol.

the essay defintely means something that will happen to you. Nobody cares what someone did in their first 17 years of life... it takes up like 10 pages in a real biography.

I'll argue that until I die.

no, some kid wrote their page 217 about the moment their grandma died in the hospital and the adcom LOVED it.

heeey im an ed kid so screw you

It took me about a month to write my 300 page autobiography. You just have to have a steady work schedule. Don't worry, it's totally doable!

I TRULY took the TRULY part in the TRULY optional phrasing and was like hmm, I’ll spend the month I would have spent on the essay and go out and enjoy the world. Which I believe Ben Franklin would have admired =D It really is optional guys, don’t fret if you can’t think of something to write because you don’t really need to do it in the first place. They get thousands upon thousands of essays and having one less to read is better on them.
