The 8 Possible Decisions that UMD EA Applicants will receive later this month

The possible combination of all results are:

1 - Denied Admission

2 - Admitted to UMD Spring 2021 with the option of Freshman Connection

3 - Admitted to UMD Fall 2020

4 - Admitted to UMD Fall 2020 + admitted to Scholars

5 - Admitted to UMD Fall 2020 + admitted to Honors

6 - Admitted to UMD Fall 2020 + admitted to LEP

7 - Admitted to UMD Fall 2020 + admitted to Scholars + admitted to LEP

8 - Admitted to UMD Fall 2019 + admitted to Honors + admitted to LEP.

In the past, Scholarship information was NOT included in the Admission Decisions

I’m sorry but how does #8 make any sense? The Fall 2019 term is over.

@izrk02 - My bad, it was a typo on my part, Sorry. Just pretend it says 2020

lol that makes more sense. Thanks for the clarification.

Another decision is Spring Admit + admitted to LEP +Freshman Connection. That is what my daughter received.

@ruth59 - Thanks for the addition. I didn’t know that was a possibility.

Is there a “deferred” or “waitlist” possibility?

@Mrusso352 - I don;t recall seeing anyone report a deferred or waitlist decision on here in recent, but I cannot say that it never happens.

Oh wow so we find out about Honors college with the decision… dang thanks for the info! I’m nervous now haha

Further understanding of Spring Admission needed!

We were ecstatic my daughter got in! We knows she’s wonderful - but her gpa/test doesn’t seem comparable.

-She got in Spring admission
-School of Education (Human Development)

She was planning on going to Israel for year, but from what I read, can’t be done?? Also, she wants dorms for sure.

Any knowledge of Spring Admission would be welcomed!

Son got in to Spring Admission. UMD is his #1 choice (we’re OOS).
WIll be doing FC, and we’re all very excited and looking forward to ASD on 3/6.

@LuvUWMAD

She will get dorms with spring admit. She will be right in with everyone else.

She should look into freshman connection. She would need to apply but could start this fall just like everyone else. Her first semester classes would just be in the late afternoon/evening. The tuition is slightly reduced too. After the first semester everything is exactly the same as a fall admit student.

@LuvUWMAD - Check out this thread

@LuvUWMAD I think that your daughter could probably study in Israel from June through January, then start spring semester at UMD. She would miss out on the connections from Freshman Connections, however. I’m sure that the link has more specific information. Best wishes!
