I thought it might be fun to give each Ivy a label, as I know some of them have certain reputations...

Penn - The Social Ivy
Yale - The Gay Ivy
Harvard - ???
Princeton - The Preppy Ivy
Cornell - The Killer Ivy
Dartmouth - The Secluded Ivy?
Brown - The Crunchy Ivy
Columbia - ???

Overrated . . . Preppiest . . . Easiest-to-get-into? It's sad that titles attatched can't reflect more accurate/positive aspects of these schools . . .

Wow, that Ivy chat link was somethin' else! Surely those chatters aren't representative of the more respectful Ivy League students! Hmm... that's an interesting slogan. I never heard of it before.

Murasaki, on second thought, I do agree with you! Let's try to highlight the good aspects as well. Afterall, students considering these schools, or admitted into them, would probably want to know both the good and the bad. I'll post later with some good nicknames.

Oh, here's another one:

Princeton = The Most Undergraduate-Friendly Ivy ;)

To all posters: From now on, if you post a nickname for a school, please provide a brief explanation of it. Otherwise, anyone could make up any name w/o a convincing basis for it. Thanks ;)

;) LOL, haha! Who the heck are those chatters anyway?? While their conversation is.... interesting, I sure hope that admitted students (on the whole) aren't like them!

Penn: The social ivy
Columbia: The rich people's ivy
Yale: The genius ivy
Harvard: the prestige whore ivy
Brown: The hippy ivy
Dartmouth: The drinking ivy
Cornell: The easy ivy
princeton: the poorman's ivy

Haha, then as a poor man, I'm proud to be going to the Poor man's Ivy! ;) There's no better place (their no-loan policy is by far among the best in U.S. higher education)!!
