In school today, there was a big debate. Of course, the ideal answer here is and "A" in Honors but sometimes that is not the case.

Which has more value? What would you rather get? What is better?

Weighted GPA-wise, they’re equivalent, but the honors courses on your transcript is a signal to colleges that u took the initiative to challenge yourself.

I think schools would rather see the B in honors and know that you challenged yourself rather than just slid through the regular class easily with an A.

Well, how many Bs? And how challenging is the high school?
If we’re talking about some hypothetical person who always gets As in regular classes and Bs in honors classes, the best option would probably be to take half honors classes and half regular classes.

I agree with the above statements. Although, an A would be ideal, a B in honors would be the best. You challenged yourself, and although you didn’t make the best grade you still took the harder classes.

In my school it is weighted 4.25 and AP’s are 5 so an A in academic/regular is like the same as like a B+ or A- in honors
