As many have mentioned before, my essay booklet had six digits, but my test booklet had five. Our proctor told us to put a zero in the front.

I imagine either putting zero in the front or leaving the space to be blank would be the most common resolution... it's just not as logical in the numbering system we use to leave a space or zero at the end, despite the fact that the number doesn't function as a number but a name, truly.

If this causes delays at all, I can't imagine them being too horrible.

what im trying to say is that both my essay and my answer booklet had 6 numbers... it was just a regular test for me

did anyone else not having any problems?

My proctor told me to leave the rightmost space blank
then he later told us to leave the leftmost space blank
so it was like _ 5 7 2 8 7

^ same as starbucks...

my proctor made the head proctor look it up

They told us to put a zero in the front.

That's what my proctor told us.

Mine had the correct amount of digits, I'm from North Texas as well!

Maybe this is ACT's unofficial way of preventing us from using the hack, to purposely delay scores lol.

JK, but isn't it more about the form of the test(66B), not that number at the top? Hopefully they'll find a way to not delay it knowing that many seniors need these scores quickly since it's September.

Yeah, I would think so too Rahoul...

I mean, why do they even need the booklet number if they have the form number?

Moreover, why do they even need a number at all if we all take the same test?

mine had 5 digits, and my proctor said to leave the first space blank.

Oh, jeez...

I took my test in Raleigh, North Carolina, and we had five letters. Our proctor told us to leave the last blank empty...

This looks like it may be trouble ahead...

We were told to put a 0 in front. -_=

i didn't have a problem on mine. At least I don't remember having an issue.

I took it in Missouri.

I was in Missouri too and I'm positive it was 6 digits long for me.

proctor said rightmost blank.

i also had 5 digits, however my proctor told us to put a 0 at the end... i didn't listen and just left the right slot blank

I actually emailed ACT about this and here's their response:

Dear Student,

We apologize for any confusion the test booklet numbers may have created. Leaving the first box blank or putting in a zero will accomplish the same results. Your test will still be scored in the same time frame and manner as all the other tests.

Thank you for you questions.

Sincerely,

ACT Test Administration

Thanks for posting that, it clears up some confusion. I don't think it matters too much because all that matters is the form code, right? 66B or whatever it was.

Yeah, thank god it wont delay anything. I put a zero in front...

Rahoul- yeah i think it was 66B, but its kinda hard to screw that up...

uh oh i put it after! Nooooo!
