The ACT

So I recently took the ACT on June,2months ago, and have recieced scores. The composite score was low do to no preparation and other circumstances. But my question is: The scores. We're sent to my top universities that I will apply in my senior year, and I am planning to retake the SAT, so will my new scores be replace by the current scores I have or would admission still marked me down base on old scores?

I understand this question varies but please try to answer it under you availability , please

the score were sent to Harvard, Stanford, etc.

They consider the best scores they receive, though I suppose it might look bad if you take the tests a million times.

How low were the scores?

Different schools have different policies. Some schools will only look at your top score on a specific date, other schools will look at the top score in each category from all your combined tests (superscoring), and some schools will require that you turn all your scores in from each testing date. You’ll have to individually look at each school you applied to to figure out what their policy is.

But from what I understand, if the school is a case where they require you to send in every test you’ve taken, they usually only care about your top score. They just want to make sure that you haven’t retaken the test a ridiculous number of times. So you should be just fine if you improve on your retake.
