The Admissions Letter

Hey.. For those who have already been accepted, or even rejected, what did "the letter" look like?

For those admitted:
If you can remember, what did it say, and what did the packet come with?
Was it a think envelope?

For those rejected:
Did you know you were rejected before you opened the envelop?

really what does it look like? does it look like the envelope thats in the commercial that they play during the football games?

Having been both rejected and accepted I can handle this one. The rejection letter is a small envelope, so you don't know if it is a waitlist or rejection but it is not good news! The acceptance letter is in a large envelope. The rejection letter basically says "you are everything we want in a student, but sorry, we can't accept you" whereas the acceptance letter says "your performance has earned you a spot in the class." Hope that helps

weedboy, I think the envelope for acceptance is actually bigger than the one that is shown in the commercial. It's about 8x10, large white envelope and you can see the word "Congratulations" through the plastic window.

oh my God i hope i get that word "congradulations" in the plastic window. hopefully with my name in that window too lol.

Yeah, the acceptance letter is a big packet. My parents snooped through the window and saw the word "Congratulations" so they knew before I did. It doesn't look like the little envelope in the commercial. So keep an eye out for the packet!

Like they said above... the acceptance letter is huge. But if you get a smaller one don't lose hope! I was waitlisted with mine and ended up getting in... so for that split second before you open it dont give up!
