what are you supposed to wear to a college interview? how dressy? are jeans okay (as long as they aren't gross)? anything you shouldn't wear (besides another school's apparel)?

Actually, interviews usually aren't all that important. Nonetheless, it's important to make a good impression. Try this:

Suggest that you wear neat clothes/shoes in general.
Tie/jacket not nec, but can be an individual choice.

Also do arrive on time for your interview, but not arrive too early - your interviewer may not be ready!

I was worried about this too. I ended up wearing khakis, a nice button down shirt, and nice shoes. No sneakers! I would advise you not to wear jeans if possible. I was told that wearing slacks may be overdoing it, so that's why I went w/ the khakis. Other accessories (ties, jacket, etc.) are up to you. Don't sweat it. Just be polite, make a good impression, and maintain an interesting conversation. REMEMBER this is a conversation, so on the day of the interview, don't dwell so much on your attire. You want to concentrate on the conversation you're having. Just realize that it's not some forced interrogation or anything. Just take it easy, and you'll do fine! Good luck!
