<p>cdz, agreed. As I see it, there really is no such a thing as estimating your chances as much as identifying, among the things one can control, how can the record be improved. If the record is immaculate, then there is nothing much to say.</p>
<p>Some of these college entrance records baffle me. Sometimes the people are just special, but other times there are college entrance machines that have been at this for years. I find that sad, and very exclusive…it is no surprise that adcoms look for people with disadvantages and unique talents; if it were a numbers game their freshman classes would look pretty homogeneous.</p>
<p>I will also say that some students on here have truly remarkable levels of accomplishment, regardless of how that is achieved. It is really impressive.</p>
