Lately I've seen a ton of AP Physics desperate/hate threads (sometimes I wonder how these people will do in actual Calculus-based based instead of the nerfed Physics B...). This thread could be used to ask for advice on any AP class.

I skipped AP Physics B and went straight to C. Our teacher’s idea of teaching is sending us down to the lab to figure out what we are learning on our own while he teaches his B class.

I’m managing an A-, but it’s rough.

AP is just so difficult, my teachers are getting on me for not doing work perhaps a few days in a row! I know they think I’m just watching TV instead of doing homework, but since I’m in all AP, that simply isn’t true.

at least IB people understand.

AP Physics B was hard. C is much easier if you know CAlc. IT’s a lot less material, and overall easier. B was just a lot to study for…

And i was homeschooled, so i had to teach myself physics - with no help whatsoever. I got a 3 eventually, so i guess that’s pretty decent. AP Music Theory is tough too.

APs.
Are a joke.
That is all.

Personal story for another AP science class: I had a love hate relationship with AP Chem last year. I managed a B+, but had to make sure I off-setted the effects of poor test results (many of the AP Chem students joked about how the AP exam becomes comparatively easy after going through the class tests).

Well, I think AP Calculus is kind of hard. But then again, I also don’t have a forty inch circumference head like many of the people here.

None of the APs I’ve faced yet are “Hard.” AP Physics C hasn’t gotten tough yet, AP US is nothing more but a lot of homework, AP Calc BC is a cake walk up to this point, AP Gov was easy despite my meh performance on the AP Exam, and none of the AP English classes have caught me off guard. That leaves AP Chem to be the hardest class up to this point, but I pulled off a B+ both semesters and got a 5 on the world’s easiest AP exam.

How do you figure?

double post

AP US Gov… boring and easy.
AP Comp Gov… not that impressive, but I didn’t do a damn thing and got a 4.
AP Calc BC… a cakewalk.
For some reason, I look at AP Physics C and believe I could do very well… but I need to go enroll at my community college.

@jgraider
I mean what’s a hard AP?

The curves on the tests attest to this: you can get like a D but get a 5!

The only difficult AP’s are probably the History ones purely because of the massive amount of reading you have to do for them.

^ I disagree. Out of the ten AP tests I took last year, AP US History (received a 5) was probably the easiest for me, and I didn’t even took the class.

Yeah. I guess that difficulty, I would have to correct myself, of AP exams is subjective then.

I’m guessing you had the most trouble on your AP English ones?

Lol; it was a typo. I got a 5 on AP Lang and I didn’t take the class either. Only test I got less than 4 is Macroeconomics (3) which I read through in 3 days.

APUSH is pretty easy, and my teacher is absolutely the smartest man I’ve ever met.

AP Bio is probably my most difficult class, but it’s not terrible. Great teacher too.

AP English is easy, but my teacher is awful and kind of mean.

AP Calc (AB) is super easy and super boring

AP Enviro is my favorite class by far. It’s easy, I’m really good friends with the teacher, and all of my friends have it with me. Also, we go on field trips like once a week.

biology.
I’m aware it’s not the most difficult AP out there, trust me. but with my schedule…yeah.

urgh.

Physics C. Calc AB is getting a little hard now too. (Related Rates kill me)

Urgh.

AP Calc AB is hard. My teacher is awful, and I rarely complete my homework because I just don’t get it.
