^^^^^ So if you have these stats…then what? I’ve always wanted to go to England haha.

I hate to say this, but chances are that if you’re an American student, Oxbridge is not for you.
There are exceptions of course (like being a top student at a super-tough school like Andover or the like) but you have to realize that their education system is completely different from our’s and it is a very likely possibility that you could fail out. Oxbridge is not the kind of school where HYP rejectees go…
Still, if you need info there are a bunch of threads… look at the archives.

Grcxx - thanks for that information
superfly - you’re a little quick to judge. Also, do you really think Oxbridge of the London schools would be significantly tougher than HYP? By all accounts and international standings they seem to be essentially “equal” schools after all.
And I can’t speak for anyone but myself, but my curiosity in the British schools does not stem from a “oh look some more safeties in case my ivy aspirations don’t work out” attitude.

mcgoogly - I think superfly’s comment stems from the fact that while Oxford and HYP may seem equivalent (at least in terms of prestige), keep in mind that an average US high school diploma does not match up to the level of education that students in the UK who plan on going to college get. Without doing a full IB diploma, you need to have the extra AP (or if accepted SAT II) exam scores to show that you are up to the college level work.
