Oh that’s pretty good. If you ever decide to take the AP Japanese test that should be more than enough.

One Piece is super huge in Japan, or at least it was when I was there in the summer. I haven’t actually read or watched it though. idk, what’s the basic premise?

One Piece is basically about a guy named Luffy who as a kid ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi (Fruit) and turned into a rubberman. He wants to become the Pirate King, the pirate who travels to the last island of the Grand Line, which I think is the equator in real life. As he sails to different islands he gets new crew members.

One Piece is an amazing manga but sometimes the anime misrepresents it.

Haha, that sounds kind of funny, but I might try the manga. Anime always takes me much longer than manga anyways because I only watch one episode in a week.

I like reading manga a lot more than watching anime haha, I like just being able to open a book (or scroll through on my phone) and just have it in my hands.
One Piece is awesome, enough said. I haven’t been caught up with it yet.
See, the first thing I ever picked up was Bleach and so that’s like top priority for me haha (cept the latest arc… I’ve gotta complain…)

That got me wondering, for those of you that are Chinese, do you have two or three characters in your name? I wish I had three, but alas, I only have two. :(

@EveningSwan I have 3, but the middle one’s a number, so it’s not terribly exciting haha. It’s supposed to sound the same as another word, but my parents simplified it b/c they didn’t want me to spend 10 minutes writing my name every time I needed to :P

SternBronco, I’m Desi and I’m getting a little lost in this thread. However I started an Indian thread (should be on page 2) that you are welcome to join.

awkward sidebust into convo One Piece is the greatest. And i’m starting taekwondo again soon after many years haha i’m pretty sure i have a Japanese test tomorrow but I’m sick so I’m hoping to skip out! (^ω^)
