You purposely deceived the "average" people that you were average by posting your Frosh and Soph PSAT scores. A 202 as a Sophomore is really good. The Val of my school got a 201 soph year and now has a 2200+ SAT. He is certainly not average and neither are you.

I wish I could have joined this club! :( Well, I've a LOW SAT score, however all A's (although from a RURAL public high) Yet, I'm feeling better that atleast not every one in the CC make 2200+ and 5s in 5 or7 Aps! (although I wanna be one of 'em and who doesn't?) If the thing considering my REALLY RURAL HIGH school can be considered I could've been the newest addition :( (I'm not even close to a B, A+ student :(
SAT----around 1700s (I came to the US last year only, so I can actually be considered as a kinda intl student, although not one anymore)

1) sadly yes, i got a 1680 shakes fist at math section! (620 cr, 600 writing, 460 math). gpa's about 3.5.

2) french. boo. i got 74 or 73 which equates to B in canadian standards.

3) haven't taken any ap tests at all.

4) nationally what? lol. well i did win some provincial award while working at my school's newspaper but you know... that's not academics or sports. ;)

5) defintely. failed french tests and math tests.

"average" is not bad when you're an art student. lol. i think during the whole application process, the schools i applied to put so much weight on my portfolio than anything else. i'm waiting for scholarships too. shocking.

i think it's all about finding the right kind of school for you.

Hepstar, what's the exact policy abt AP? Do u really think there's a difference btw a student who scores a 4 and a student who scores a 5?! (both students studied enough and are smart enough to ace the exam, in fact, most of the times they get the same amount of college credit.) I believe a student w/ 4s aren't eligible.

A 4 on an AP is very good, but 5's show that one could practically teach the subject. Students who get 5's are truly exceptional. Thre ones who get 5's are the ones who get 2200+ on the SAT.

NorthWestLover's SAT score counteracts his/her AP scores. A 1670 is far more "average" than many people in this club. The same is true of college admissions, where good EC's could compensate for a low SAT/GPA.

well, then how abt me:D----as I've included A+ student but to compensate, 1630 :( SAT score===being a sophomore w/ english as second lang? no national recog yet some regional only. Class Rank 1 yet sophomore only?! Taking the only AP available and expecting a 5.

ACT 30

GPA HAHAHAHAHAHAH... around two. :( :(

Failed Tests : I'm not sure how many. Only a few of them. I only fail the tests in the classes I hate.

I've failed quite a few classes.

No Rankings

I'm getting better about doing my work. I've been obsessive compulsive since at least third grade. Writing by hand takes forever because I have to rewrite things. I've been in boring classes that don't interest me in the least for as long as I can remember. When I'm at school I can focus on my work just fine. When I'm at home... internet.

"well, then how abt me----as I've included A+ student but to compensate, 1630 SAT score===being a sophomore w/ english as second lang? no national recog yet some regional only. Class Rank 1 yet sophomore only?! Taking the only AP available and expecting a 5."

You're ranked #1, have an A+ average, and expect to get a 5 on an AP exam. Your SAT is msleading since you're a sophomore. That score could improe significantly by the time you're a senior. An "average" valedictorian? That's kind of pushing it if you ask me.

okay, I won't get into any more quarrel of getting into the 'average' people club. But I would only say that i am from a RURAL school which has been definitely infected by terrible grade inflation. Okay, yeah, I said like expecting a 5, actually i wanted to say like I am working hard enough to get a 5. I just said 'expecting' to show my motivation to achieve that ultimate success. (I know, 5 in any AP is NOT SO EASY at all, so I'm trying my best to achieve it and show my 'grade inflated' school that students from this school can achieve a score over 3 in AP Euro---yeah I know it's pretty funny to know that last year except 1 student no one else made even a 3 in AP Euro! :D from my school.

Ap euro is the MOST curved exam. It shows the absolute bell curve, unlike most other exams. The school I am in does not inflate grades very much, and only TWO people got above a 3...out of around 100.

Im not trying to burst your bubble, but you can't automatically assume that the year before you were absolute airheads based on what a toughly-graded AP test says.

It's good that you are working for that 5, so keep going at it, but don't be too disappointed if you don't achieve it.
