The Bad Teacher Thread

o, i forgot this btw, my Physics teacher didn't want to explain much to the class. When someone goes up to him and asks him a question, he would tell them to read the book again and carefully. What's the use of the teacher if the teacher doesn't want to explain anything?

My teacher's Algebra II teacher told them they're better off just sleeping in her class. All she does is read a powerpoint. If you say you don't understand, she re-reads the slide on the powerpoint. If you ask her for an example, she'll point to the one in the powerpoint. She doesn't give you new examples.

Honors English sophomore year. English was her SECOND language, she was fluent in Greek and close to fluent in English. She had a very thick accent, and didn't know crap about grammar. the entire year, we watched videos that looked like she recorded it from youtube with her cell phone camera and downloaded it back to the computer. We were expected to take notes, but you couldn't hear anything because there was random scratching and talking noises in the background. the movies themselves were like "transcendentalism in the 70's", and "the cultural significance of Woodstock". yeah, a hippy history class. anyway, for grades we wrote one page essays on these movies. if she didn't agree with our opinions we got marked down. at the end of the year, she collected our notebooks and randomly moved to France a week before the end of the school year. I got a D in that class for the year grade. the highest grade was a C. anyways, we all contacted the school board, etc. but couldn't get the grades changed. randomly, the teacher sent a huge box with all our notebooks to the school this october and we picked them out. I got 3/5 on all the essays but at the end she wrote this thing on how i am such a sweet girl and im gonna get far in life. well, she could have given me a good grade if she wanted me to succeed! also, my freshman english teacher was a really nice 24 year old guy and a great teacher, but would stare down the girls shirts and had all the girls sit in the front row so he could see up their skirts. he would get all flirty and up close to all the pretty chicks. he also brought his laptop to school and would sit at his desk staring at it, then slam it closed when anyone approached. he got fired that year.

In seventh grade my sister had a science teacher. He did the same thing as brieb08's teacher. The seating chart would get changed a lot. He put the girls that frequently wore skirts in the front and the girls that wore pants in the back. He'd "accidently" drop pencils and take his sweet time picking them up. He'd walk down the rows and look down the shirts or girls or put his hand on their shoulders for way too long. The day he was fired, he was called out of class, which happened to be the period my sister had him. When he came back, he took a seat at his desk and started crying. My sister sat right next to his desk and she said it was awkward to look at. Regardless, I think he had it coming because he was a pervert.

Since it's been years since I've been in school, your stories are pretty darned funny....too bad they're true! I'm sure my daughter could add some of her own, but here is mine. My 5th grade teacher. Mr. Jenner, are you still alive? There was a naughty boy named Johnny that Mr. Jenner abused like crazy. One day Mr. Jenner grabbed Johnny by the neck and drug him all the way across the room. I think the only reason it didn't strangle Johnny is because Mr. Jenner was missing the fingers on one hand, so he couldn't squeeze Johnny's neck with that hand.

Nothing happend to Mr. Jenner. I don't know if we went home and told our folks or not, but if we did, they certainly didn't complain. Say what you will about us helicopter parents, but teachers generally don't get by with extreme physical abuse anymore.

i am in love with t151848p!

i wasnt going to add any stories but since this is such an awesome topic i think i just might.

last year ap us history teacher totally sucked. she would come in everyday and talk about greys anatomy, house, her little dogs, how she got completely smashed over the weekend, problems with her husband...i mean if it had nothing to do with us history we did it. she never taught us how to write essays or dbq's but repeated multiple times about how they were completely different from the ones we write in ap english. we did about 3 essays and 2 dbqs. we would always get them back with horrible scores on them and her bubbly handwriting basically telling us we are stupid. we had a lot of days where she just "wasnt in the mood" and would lay her head on the desk the whole period. once she lost one of our essays and cried about it.

the worst part about this lady is she flirted with all the guys. she would bend over in class and let her boobs fall out her shirt, bend over (she had a large backside), and was always touching on the guys.

we never finished the book and she refused to give us some type of review before the ap test. about 10 of the 150 or so who took the test passed. sigh

i had a honors chem teacher who would ask for help solving the problems. this same lady would disappear in the lab (sometimes the whole class period) leaving us with nothing to do. once she was caught eating styrofoam peanuts and swears they taste like cheetoes.

honors world civ our teacher threw a kids desk down the hall

ap gov teacher threw kids backpack out the window.

i probably have more but i just cant think

I had this teacher for a few days. I was stuck in Media Lit before my schedule was changed. It's basically a class where you watch movies and "study" them. Really, it's a nap class. >_> Anyway, the teacher dressed like she was 20 when she was probably over 40. She talked about how she needed money to support her daughter that was in college. She was a part-time bartender too.

On the first day of class she came in with a bandage over her finger. Not the tiny band-aids, but the kind you wrap around something serious. She said her finger was swollen, but she didn't know why. She then said, "I'm not sure what happened. I mean, I didn't get drunk until after the game was over. Maybe something happened then?"

She said she had no standards when it came to dating and as soon as anyone was 21, she'd date them. Every time the boys flirted with her, she'd say, "Not until you're twenty-one. I need you to be able to buy me booze." But she'd still flirt back with all the boys and some of the girls. She joked about a lot of things I found inappropriate. She seemed flaky too.

Add to that list of infamy Amy Mazurek at Williams school in New London CT. In the past Physics teachers used to inspire Kids to Major in Physics . Since Amy assumed the reins , most kids faint when they hear "physics". She has successfully ruined the chances of at least 30 kids from getting into their dream colleges. People like her should be deported

She doesn't sound that bad :P

It's better than the usual: a male teacher flirting with the female students.

Now, when you say large backside, do you mean sexy like http://www.wallpaperbase.com/wallpapers/celebs/vidaguerra/vida_guerra_1.jpg or just plain out of control?

Because if she was ugly... then no.

I have one teacher spends half of class talking to us about how stressful high school classes are, then grades our tests as if we had actually learned anything in class. For our midterm, we had to write three essays in two hours, and she essentially told us that all of us had misunderstood the concept of negative capability that we had been studying for weeks, then proceeded to "re"teach everything she had "taught" in the previous four weeks. She couldn't have done that beforehand?

I've had so many. Another day.

Cono: those girls look like they've been dumped in lipstick. Disgustingly shiny all over.

My school: both male and female teachers favor the girls. The guys are left out in the dust.

cono: i sorry i should have explained her appearance a little more. she had this really artificial look to her (really blond hair, fake nails, always tanned), always wore a lot of makeup, and she was really small in the boob area (almost disappeared), but had this big juicy booty (picture a black girl booty on this very white woman) with really thick thighs almost like her top and bottom didnt match. it was just weird...

Aisg, it's only one girl there, two pictures. I wasn't picky about the picture because I was giving her something to compare the ass of her teacher too. She herself actually looks good, but that picture is decent at best. Besides, the models don't put the makeup on, the people running the photo shoot do :)

^ even if there was only one, what does this have to do with anything?

anymore interesting teachers?

There's a teacher at my school that asks, "Questions? Comments? Concerns?" after he says anything. It's not bad, but it's really quirky. xD

Errm... you asked me... I already explained why I posted it. It wasn't directed at you, it was directed at the person posting the story about the possibly bisexual teacher.

i thought i had some bad teachers until i read this thread.
YIKES!
you guys have my sympathy :/

I've had the worst teacher ever. She teaches Independent Science Research.

Ok first of all she seems to hate me so much. She likes everyone else and gives them good grades, but not me. Also, she doesn't really teach. Sure it's independent, but still she should help.

The worst part is that I have been working on this project for a few months. She didn't say anything about it. For midterms we have to present the project and then basically she said your project is at 10th grade level (I'm a senior) so I'm gonna fail you and she did. She NEVER said anything before.
