The best book for the New SAT

There seems to be a lot of discussion on what SAT prep books are good but which book is the most accurately reflect the new sat.

@BrotherBuff No books have exact practice tests except College Board’s Official Guide. Also Khan Academy SAT prep has thousands perfectly accurate questions.

Keep in mind that most companies are better at making books for instruction rather than making books for practice.

Well, there’s real disagreement about this claim, actually. I’ve found that KA tests diverge notably from the four official released exams. In reading, for instance, the released exams do not included “Except” and “Analogy” question types, but the KA tests include them. There’s a long thread her somewhere about glaring problems with the KA math material, as well.

Thanks for the replies! Is there anyway to effectively practice for the SAT? Would ACT Reading be a worthwhile substitute.

I am at 1450 and aiming to get =>1500.
Any help is appreciated.

I think ACT reading is a pretty good addition to SAT reading materials. I also like the Ivy Global material (2nd edition-the first was not good) and Kallis for R.
