What is it? For someone who's never had USH before, on account of, well, not living in the US, and has till November to study. (Probably can't put in more than an hour and a half a day, though.)

An AP US History textbook. But be warned, they are some of the most painful, and god forsaken books on the planet (Looking at you, American Pageant)

“United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination”- oh my gosh, I cannot recommend it enough!! I used it throughout APUSH this year, and it definitely helped me prepare for the USH SAT II. It was just detailed enough for the APUSH exam. It may have a little more info then you need for an hour long SAT, but a few extra details can’t hurt! It was great!!

AMSCO

everyone knows that

What does AMSCO stand for? And can I order these on Amazon?

(yankeedoodle, clearly nobody in my country does.)

Thanks, everyone.

AMSCO is the name of the company that developed that book. It doesn’t stand for anything, at least that I know of. Just google AMSCO and you’ll find info on it. Amazon might have it.

Sorry, I didn’t mean it in a haughty manner but rather a “you should definitely buy it” one. Amsco is a really good study guide book much like Cliff’s and Barron’s. However, you probably need a USH textbook as well. For that I would recommend American Pageant as Borb mentioned.

American Pageant + AMSCO = 5/800

Borb’s comment made me laugh.

But I really liked American Pageant. It is grossly in depth yet rather witty.
