I sent all my application in and am waiting for the results...
in the meantime I wanted to do some research about my major and but I found out soon that there isn't much I know about it.
I want to major in computer engineering or computer science and I live in Southern California. i don't want to go out of state.
Is there any good schools around where I live that has a fantastic computer engineering course? I don't care if it's private or public, i would just like to know the facts. thanks!

Stanford and Berkeley are both tops for EE/CS. Also Caltech, Harvey Mudd (if you want a general engineering degree), UCLA, USC, UCSD, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. (Not all quite what I'd call "fantastic," but very good.)

Since you already have your mind set on staying in Cali, the college search won't be a problem for you at all. HMC, USC, Cal Poly, UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCI, UCD, UCSB.

Then of course, there's Caltech and Stanford...

What are your stats like ?

I'm confused ... you sent you're apps in already and now you're doing your research? Where did you apply?
