Hey everyone! I’m currently a college freshman who applied to college last year. I’ve decided to compile a list of different AP/general classes you may want to take depending on what career/major you want to pursue in college. These are helpful for getting college credit for these majors or just getting an overview of the course material for when you go to college. I hope you find this helpful!

- AP Biology
- AP Chemistry
- AP Physics (both series)
- AP Calculus AB
- AP Statistics
- AP Capstone program (Seminar and Research)
*you often can’t use these courses for credit for medical schools, but they are useful for having a background knowledge before you go to college and take these classes.

Foreign Languages:
- Take the full class series of whatever languages you’re interested in. You can end with the AP class for that subject.
Great classes for any field/career (pick a few that you’re interested in):
- AP Language and Composition (learn how to write effectively)
- AP Language courses (get college credit for these so you don’t have one in college)
- AP Seminar and Research (design your own research project in any field you want)
- AP Environmental science (learn about one of the most pressing issues in society today)
- AP Calculus AB/BC (good for all STEM majors)
- AP World History (have a general understanding of history for the rest of your life)
- AP Psychology (understand human behavior)
- Philosophy courses (gain a deeper perspective about life/purpose)
I hope this was helpful. You shouldn’t stress yourself out by taking all of these for your major/field but I would recommend taking a few of them. Good luck!
