<p>What makes my ECs weak? Does it really have to be crazy things no one else does? Or why can’t it just sound like somebody who knows what they want in life and is dedicated?
The soccer team takes up 8 hours per week, then community service is a club, another 2 hours per week, the school newspaper is from 3-5 hours per week plus the weight of the IB diploma and APs plus I have a life. There’s no time for me to do anything else…I take the most rigorous course available. Internships are during winter break, NYU Precollege during summer…
I’m not saying you’re wrong, but what is it exactly that makes them weak? I am “well rounded”: sports, community service and a certain academic element that also shows my interest in communications (PR internship, school newspaper and journalism class, NYU Precollege course in communications).
Yeah my SATs suck right now. I have to work on that…
Thank you for the critical feedback, it’s what I need. Please re-evaluate on the ECs from what I just said though. They like quality…not 1000 positions treasurer of this and that club.</p>
