I can not find the recent thread where several people had posted local knowledge concerning the best ways to get to Williams .... Does someone remember the thread name ????

The best way is to fly your jet into the North Adams airport, just down the road from campus.

By that standard, the "best" way would be to land your private helicopter on Baxter Lawn. For the rest of us who want to fly commercial airlines, the best way is to fly into Albany, and follow the driving directions on the Williams web site.

o.k. ... funny guys .... there was a thread .... and on that thread various "nice" people were discussing the different routes (by car) up the northeast corridor .... and they pointed out some interesting factoids concerning the advantages to using the various routes .... i desperately want to find the thread ... so i will therefore continue to subject myself to this Friday humor ....

found the thread .... it is "Directions from NJ - Help me avoid 10 miles of lights" ..... have a safe trip to all .....

Reports are that the roads have been slippery with icy rain and slushy snow, so take that into account and check the weather before you go. Safe home.

And have fun!

thank you !

I'll see you there. Astrogirl and I will be the ones getting out of the helicopter on Baxter Lawn.

sweet !!! i'll look for you both

Yeah, but I never knew any students who did that. I was only going by ways that students use to actually get to Williams.
