hey, i hope the mods dont mind this, but i thought everyone here could share their great news with everyone...i havent auditioned yet, so i have nothing to put here, but i know some point park people have, and i wondered if they knew...so if anyone knows that they got accepted to anywhere...let us know!

Well I haven't auditioned yet, but I got accepted into University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point! Probably won't find out about the theater part until after March.

I live in Janesville! Small world. My one S was accepted to DePaul two years ago, the other was waitlisted. Ever attend the UW-Whitewater drama camps? Mine went to those during the summer a couple times.

Ckp-
Is there anyway you could have your friends join this forum, and we can start one about Stevens point? I would like to know what it's like up there, because I'm super excited about attending there. If you could get them on this site that would be awesome! :-) (I live 20 minutes from whitewater..tehehe) What are you doing at Whitewater?

dream theatre-I only know one person in the theatre department really well (the rest are just friends of his, or music or art majors) and he is kinda anti-internet, but he loves it. He says the faculty is great and I saw a show there and it was pretty good. Where are you from??? Watch out though at SP cause it is in the middle of nowhere and people resort to a lot of crazy things for fun, but you are from WI and you probably know a lot about that. I don't go to ww, I grew up there, Im a frosh at DePaul...good luck with auditions! Tell me how it goes, and what students you meet!

5pants, I never actually went to the theatre camps, I went to some choir ones in middle school and felt like I was in prison because we couldnt leave campus and I lived a block away and it was frustrating so I stopped going to camp in ww, where do you sons go now?

They are sophomores at Webster University in St. Louis. We loved DePaul though...Chicago is such a cool city!!

Regarding your post above: That was the first thing on the priority list when compiling a list for potential schools. They decided they wanted to be within a large Metro area. It was important that they make contacts for the future, which they are able to do in the bigger city.

Good luck to all who are going thru the audition process or waiting to hear.

So far my d has been accepted (Academically) to OCU and UA. Her OCU audition is in a couple of weeks and UA in February. Still waiting for approval to audition from Steinhardt, Syracuse is 12/2. She has auditioned for Elon (loves that school). She did EA so she should hear from them the end of December. D is now doing several scholarship competitions. Yesterday she did her second round with South Coast Symphony, today she is off to the Spotlight and next week she is in final competition with the Intimate Opera Company. Whew - lots of stuff to wait for.

Any chance we could use the old format with an alpha list that people keep adding to? I have taken the liberty of starting it with what already has been posted, everyone can cut and paste then and add to as the months go on, it would help the anal ones like me :) Thanks!

Yes, thank you, but should we keep it just for MT? How about strictly academic acceptances. Should we wait for the auditions to see about the program?

Yes, and from experience - - it's hard to get all academic acceptances and big scholarships and then NOT be accepted to the MT programs- - also some schools don't separate them, as was mentioned - -
