the big list of acceptances

Jashner, when I view the most recent list (post #299), it has your D down as going to CAP21 and FINAL. Do you see what I see?

Oops, I now see what YOU see, LOL. It is right in post #299 where it is by school/program but not in the list by poster name. I will go fix/edit that one now for you.

All's good. Congratulations to your D and of course to everyone else so far this season and here's to more positive news in the coming months from others.
CollegeMom

not an update but I got regected from CCM (top choice)

anyone get in... I live in Cali so I shouldnt have been like the last person to get the letter...

Drum87, I can't answer your question but just want to say to you to keep the faith....I know it is disappointing but whatever you do, do not take it personally when the odds are what they are. You can't get them all, it is a tough situation. While everyone has favorite programs, there is more than one program at which you can be happy and thrive, so keep a wide view of several programs and you'll see which ones happen for you and go from there. Something will work out, it usually does. Hang in there and keep at this and don't go by just this one outcome. There's a place for you in MT and something will line up.

Susan

Drum87, don't get discouraged! Remember, not being accepted is not a personal rejection, just very tough odds, really.

i was also rejected from ccm...no biggie i am fine..but u guys are so great with all of your support for others..so you can check me off from ccm but i still have 4 more to go..so ill keep working and for those who didnt get in, do the same..youll be fine

Good luck with your other 4 auditions, TheaterJock; sounds like you've got a great attitude and will do fine!

Hang in there, TheatreJock...lots more to come.

Drum87 and Theatrejock, keep the faith. You have more auditions ahead of you, and I feel confident you will be posting happy news on this list for us all to share before long. We believe in you, and YOU need to believe that you will get into the program that is the best possible fit for you both. I am very impressed by your attitudes and join the others here in wishing you the very best of luck. Just go out there and show 'em what you've got, and be confident that it will all work out. Life has a way of doing that.

Lisa

Drum87 and Theatrejock I'd like to put in my 2 cents also, hang in there! You've got along way to go yet and something great will work out!

anyone have audtions at OCU comming up?

SO thats three CC rejections from CCM from the January auditions.

Oh well- we're better then then :-P

They'll be sorry when they wish they could have had US on their Alumni lists, bragging about OUR accomplishments.

That's the spirit! And I am sure we will hear of more acceptances rolling in soon.

drum87,

Hang in there!! I know how talented you are and you will end up at the right school!!!! I know you will be posting happy news soon. Best of luck on your future auditions. D only has one more to go!

Lexismom

Just commiserating...D got her first rejection. PSU - and of course it was one of her favorites. Wanted those of you in the same boat, both publicly and privately, to know that we know how you feel! Chin up, and keep giving it your best shot, cause it ain't over til...well you know the rest! (And boy, at the PSU audition, they sure could sing :o )

Melsmom, I know you are encouraging her to keep her chin up and to keep on keepin' on. But gee, it's hard, isn't it? How our kids can (even before college auditions) emotionally tolerate doing audition after audition and being "judged" is beyond me. Gee, guess that's why I could never be a performer! Of course, it's what they love. (Not that they love the judging part, but they sure love the results when they get a good part, into a show they wanted to be in, etc.) Please tell your daughter that we are ALL rooting for her and know that she will find the place that is right for her. (Though that is probably small comfort when you have not been admitted to the one program you really, really wanted to get into.)
Best wishes,
L

Has anyone here already auditioned for Ithaca?
On their website it says "Ithaca follows a modified rolling admission review process and begins notifying candidates of decisions in January."

I auditioned and finished my application in December and I still haven't recieved a decision.
Is this normal?

A friend of my d's just heard he did NOT get in. We're from CT.

From first semester Ithaca auditions, I've heard of some people recently getting rejection letters for MT or offers for an acting major instead of MT. I have not heard of anyone accepted to MT as of yet. Has anyone else? I think they planned to defer most people this year until they had seen all auditions.

Ericsmom- where did you hear that?

I finished my application in November, auditioned in december, and still nothing. I suppose if people are getting rejection letters, that is a good thing (so far)!

Hi, ThespianDreams. I'm almost positive we were there the same day, 12/3. The head guy in the auditorium meeting that morning mentioned that many would probably be deferred until all auditions were over. The info about people getting letters has come to me from private e-mails.
