<p>Maggie, I am really conscious of this anxious time for so many prospective students. There is so much news out there when many have to wait until April 1 and it is already stressful to wait but made harder still to keep reading others' news and some even know where they are going already. But the time is almost here and things have a way of working out eventually. Keep the faith. The wait is almost over and you guys are not forgotten by a long shot! ChrisM....same goes for your D and the many others on CC with the bulk of their results still to come.</p>

<p>I don't think Otterbein's decisions have come out yet. They just take 8 MT students per year so keep in mind we aren't gonna hear of droves of students who got in :D. I must say that I had never heard of Otterbein until I came to CC and for all that DoctorJohn has shared and contributed here and the interest that his school has garnered due, in part, to his personality as well as descriptions of his program, it would be nice to see a CCer get in! There are lots from CC who have applied to Otterbein having heard about it HERE! I don't recall any CCer's getting in last year but maybe this year! My D's friends did not have this school on their list. Here is where I have learned about Otterbein. Seems like many have applied that read CC. Not surprisingly! I'm impressed the more I have learned reading DoctorJohn's posts and now recommend this school for particular students.</p>
<p>My son's friend (not a CC'er) got his acceptance letter from UCLA yesterday. I mention this as someone had mentioned they were waiting to hear from UCLA.</p>
<p>Otterbein said they will be sending MT letters out on March 21st!!!!</p>
<p>Here's a little more that I've learned from Doctorjohn. The theatre, music, dance, tech faculty gets together and puts together all of their acceptances after reviewing notes and video. Then they make the decision on who to offer BFA MT, BFA Acting, BFA Tech, BA, and some BM. I can't imagine the time it takes to review all of the tapes, so I know that they must be in it pretty deep right now. We're sitting here with fingers crossed!</p>

sorry...but all's not lost. Did you talk to them about how many they may take off the wait list? My D was on a waitlist last year and the school was VERY clear that they expected to take ZERO students off the waitlist. That made it easier. Other schools DO take kids off the list.</p>
<p>Melsmom, not sure if you noticed but Roger Dooley, the Forum Administrator, put up a post at the top of CC's discussion forums yesterday explaining that CC was changing internet servers. In the past day or two, I have seen periods when CC was down. As well, there were times when it was slow and other times when a message of a busy signal came up. I think they are readjusting all this stuff while the changeover is taking place. During that time, the search function was also affected. I think this is all temporary and it had nothing to do with the MT Forum. Hopefully things will be not only back to normal, but better in the coming days. We all know that April 1 will be a BIG day on CC. :D</p>
