I'm a freshman bio major at CCC and I'm taking 4 classes right now:

Chem 400 (1st semester of general chem)
Humanities
English Composition
Calc for social science

My dilemma was with my chem 400 class, because currently I have a borderline C/B but im not really sure, and I'm not really comfortable with getting a C in the class. So I was thinking of dropping the class and taking it next semester, do you think this would be a good idea, or should I gun it out these next two weeks and pray on getting a B. BTW the drop deadline is 2 weeks from now!
If I did drop the class, would this make my 1st semester schedule look too easy? just 9 units, and no other science courses!
Would my chances at UCLA/UCB/UCSD be really small if I did get a C in the class?
Quickly, I need some feedback please :D

Hell yeah it would make your schedule easy, especially considering you are a bio major and transferring in two years is as hard enough as it is. Honestly, I would talk to your professor to see where your grade stands and just grind it out.

definitely talk to your professor first and see exactly where you are at...if you are truly getting a C...I would definitely drop and take it again... light course loads are easily explainable especially if it's your first semester at college and adjusting to college curriculum is a good reason to take a light load that first semester. A light load is much better than a C and it will give you a chance to acclimate to college.
