so im about to be done reading and studying the black book. but i heard that its outdated compared to today’s act tests. what are the new things i need to learn. i have a copy of the official act prep guide 2016-2017 maybe i should give that a read to learn the learn things that offers the act.

The black book is excellent for act tests. While it uses the old red-book. The act test changes from the old red book are very subtle. The black book is REALLY helpful when it comes to reading over all else and it changed my entire perspective.
Warning: The black book doesn’t have its own questions, it analyzes the old 3rd edition red book’s questions.
Official Changes 2013ish-2016:
So, the big change is with the reading. There is now dual passage for one of the 4 parts of it. In my opinion, this makes the test a tad bit easier as the questions are more evidence based than usual. The next change is in the science. Science has gotten a wee bit harder and now has more questions that require outside science knowledge. Overall, the sections have gotten a little harder and time is now a little tighter but, nothing to bad.
