Question: On the Part II application, it asks you to list the books you've read for pleasure in the past year. Do they want the author's name as well? Because there's only so much room to type...

Thanks!

I didn't provide authors. It asks just for books, not authors.

but... you obviously need to provide the author.

If it's an book that not many people may not about, then it wouldn't hurt to add the author's name. But if it's Crime and Punishment, Catcher in the Rye, Pride and Prejudice, War and Peace, Oliver Twist, etc., do you really think that you need to give the author's name? You can if you aren't able to fill up the space, otherwise, just add more novels.

Okay, great. That's what I'll be doing then. I just wasn't really sure. Thanks! :)

I put authors names as well.

I did not include the author's name and I was accepted, and a couple of my book were not exactly well known.

I didn't include author's names, and my books weren't well known; on the other side, though, you could pretty much tell what they were about from the books' titles.

I didn't include authors. They could look them up if they really wanted to know. There's not enough space for authors. I also got in.

Okay, so next stupid question about the book list -- did you just write the name of the books or did you put apostrophes around the titles?

Like this:
The Great Gatsby, Green Eggs and Ham, Little Women, Matilda

Or like this:
'The Great Gatsby', 'Green Eggs and Ham, 'Little Women', 'Matilda'

I wrote mine without quotes. I also did it with authors for my outside reading and without authors for required

without quotes with authors (on online app..)

Thanks for your help, everyone. I'm so used to using italics for book names that I couldn't remember what you're supposed to do if you can't use italics/underline. So I broke out my grammar book. The answer, apparently, is nothing, so I left it alone.

In about three seconds I'm going to submit. :-$ Eep.
