The Bookstore Poll

Barnes and Noble
Books a Million
Borders

Which one will it be??????!!!!!!!

You choose CC...

So. Much. Pressure.

Oh god. I pick C! No, D! I can’t pick HELP ME MOMMY!!

Half Price Books

^^This is a serious question, between life or death. don’t you understand how crucial this is to the world, to our society. We must choose which one we like the most, before it is too late…

I’ve never heard of Books a Million, and Barnes and Noble is really expensive compared to other smaller bookstores around my area. I’ve never been to Borders to buy stuff, just check out books, so I can’t really say…

How about Amazon? :D

how about the library

Library works too. That’s where I get most of my reading material :D

If I HAVE to buy books though, I’d still opt for Amazon.

Library book sales. Where they dump all the stuff no one will read for a dime-a-dozen, and my mom buys it all.

I support my local bookstores.
Although out of your choices, B&N all the way.

Best local bookstore = Politics and Prose in DC.

I know it’s good to go to the library, but I always buy books because I come from a family of writers and I like thinking that I’m helping out the authors :)

We only have Borders here (out of the three OP mentioned).

^^i went to politics and prose when i visited d.c., it was really great

Our library is terrible. Most local bookstores contain only Christian reading material.

I choose Borders.

Where I live there’s only one choice. Barnes and Noble.

There’s a Books a Million like 45 minutes away… but B&N is like 15-20…

But the libraries here are amazing. The main one is about 10 minutes away and is huge. And then there are about 8-9 others spread throughout the county that are really small, but do inter-loaning. And then we’re also allowed to use the county over’s library system which is massive. We have the largest population in my state… so we have the most books at our disposal. lol

Barnes & Noble.

I’ll go with Borders because their membership cards are free.

I despise the fact that I have to pay an additional $25 every year to renew my Barnes and Nobel card.

Barnes and Noble is like a library with books that don’t suck.

^^*Barnes and Noble

^I think that there’s a way to request books to be sent to your local library.

True, but they also have a lot of books that do, like their entire teen section.

Where I live, B&N is cheaper than Borders, but I still prefer buying books online (which costs $3-10, depending on condition, shipping, and book title).

Where I live, a couple mouseclicks can get almost any book sent to your local library. Which is a good thing, because my local library has less books than I do.
