“The Brilliant Ten For 2008” (news item)

<p>Popular Science has just announced its 2008 list of the “Brilliant Ten”. These ten young scientists are among those doing the most exciting and innovative research work in the U.S. This year’s list has two Princeton connections. Ali Yazdani is a professor of Physics at Princeton and does exciting work in the area of high temperature superconductors. The second Princeton connection is with John Dabiri, a professor at CalTech and a member of the Princeton Class of 2001. Here are their stories.</p>

<p>Last year Princeton Physics Professor Frans Pretorius was among this select group and this year within the Ivy League only Princeton had a faculty member recognized. MIT led the way with two of its faculty members on the list. One faculty member each at Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, Cal Tech, U. of Michigan, U. of British Columbia and the University of Colorado was included.</p>
