Since I submitted my app. to Georgetown and Uchicago, I have been obsessively checking my emails everyday, nagging my recommenders to check for any new information, and wondering when this schools will contact me/recommenders. Are calls or emails supposed to be expected before the Dec. 15th decision date? Because I don’t want to miss anything.
Why are you doing this? The schools won’t contact your recommenders or you whatsover. They’ll contact you with their decision in mid December. That’s ALL. Stop being so obsessive. You’ll give yourself an ulcer.
If you’re a viable GTown and Chgo applicant, you’ve worked hard – you really need to take the foot off the accelerator and enjoy yourself.

Ha! I’ve had duodenal ulcers since I was 12. I pop antacids like candy nowadays, I need to stop worrying so much 8-|
Yeah — don’t become the guy that everyone hated having as the freshman year roommate. Really. The school you attend isn’t all that. Been there, done that. Please be an enjoyable human. That’s very important-- on many levels.
