The Care Package

rizzledrizzle: Re the “dry ice thing” – boys will play with anything. The dry ice used in packaging is probably more interesting to them than what it protects, similar to bubble wrap and packaging “peanuts”. Heck, there is even an iPhone bubble wrap; all you do is touch the bubbles on the tiny screen, and they pop. I couldn’t believe how interested my otherwise intelligent son found this. Go figure.

@Choatemom, I don’t think the lights will pass room code. My son had to return a regular extension cord in place for a safety power strip. Also could not have a hot pot for heating water.

^Yeah, I know about those restrictions, so my guess is the lights won’t pass either. Oh well. I thought S might like having the lights, but I’m sure edibles will make him just as happy. This will be the first kidless Halloween for us in 14 years; it’s going to feel strange.

Each dorm has a microwave, but some schools use it as a privilege and Frosh don’t get to use it til after January.

Oh, I also sent one of those tiny pumpkins. DS got everything yesterday via priority mail. I was surprised you can fit so much in a padded envelope. Also, cocoa packages are nice.
