<p>Hey, I know a lot of you are mad we moved down. But no biggie guys:</p>

<ul>
<li><p>It was only 1 spot, not a huge drop</p></li>
<li><p>We're still Top 15</p></li>
<li><p>15 is my favorite number, I think it looks better than 11, 12, 13, or 14 (10 would be nice though)</p></li>
<li><p>We're still better than Brown (which is a big deal to me)</p></li>
<li><p>AEM was ranked #10 and Engineering was ranked #9 (great marks)</p></li>
<li><p>Statisitics factored in to the rankings are from the last admission cycle (Class of 2012, not Class of 2013). Since then Cornell has increased financial aid and has decreased the acceptance rate to 19%, which factor in to the ranking</p></li>
<li><p>We did awesome in the international rankings as always!</p></li>
</ul>

<p>CORNELL UNIVERSITY IS ONE OF THE GREATEST INSTITUTIONS IN THE WORLD. Here's to moving up next year!</p>

<p>While the passion is perhaps to be admired, I would respectfully suggest that “the case for” this institution transcends whether some magazine has decided to “rank” it 15th this year, vs,13th some other year.</p>

<p>College applicants will hopefully do their own “rankings”, based on their own personal needs and priorities, which may differ from some magazine. Hopefully it will “rank” highly on enough of these personal lists so that the university will continue to enroll a class equally passionate about it as OP.</p>
