Current students,
wondering if you get into the city often, or mostly stay on campus? If you do go into the city, how is mass transit, or is it mostly cabs?
Thanks!

My daughter likes to go downtown alot to places like the Inner Harbor. Until you can bring a car to campus, you will most often cab with a group of others.

but what about the collegetown shuttle, doesn’t that get you to places that you may need to go?

The collegetown shuttle isn’t incredibly convenient…And you also have to abide by it’s schedule in order to make it back, it doesn’t run late, etc.

Most kids take cabs, and it costs probably at least $20 to get into Inner Harbor…Loyola is not as close to “the city” as it may advertise; at least it’s not close to the part of the city that you would care about.

I can imagine how much better the experience is while having a car on campus…I unfortunately don’t have that option yet.

I don’t believe freshman can have cars and isn’t there a “parking fee” if have a car there?

Freshman can’t have cars on campus. There is a fee or a parking pass but I can’t remember what it is. My daughter is a sophomore and she has ro park her car at the Fitness Center. Next year she should be able to park near her room in Seton. Having a car is helpful. I know the Collegetown buses go to Towson but I don’t know about downtown. The kids like cabs.
