@toystorymom Great idea! I’ll add that donating to theatres - becoming a member will help right now. They’re all trying to cover costs and stay afloat so that they can reopen. If you have a favorite regional they can use help! I re-upped our membership the day our regional announced they were going on hiatus, in hopes that it would help them through this tough time.

Mikey Abrams has literally built a community of creatives in four days. Over 10,000. People are recording and posting their songs, dances…everything. Lots of parodies (many Corona-inspired). Good stuff and a breath of fresh air for us all.

@toystorymom - one thing I have done at theaters where I have had subscriptions is to donate the price of the canceled tickets instead of getting a refund. And we are also looking at making additional donations and matching with my husband’s company who has already reached out and asked that people support local their businesses. We were getting food delivered - to support our local restaurants - but I am getting nervous about that - at this moment I really don’t want to bring in any outside germs.
@DivaStageMom I’m doing the same thing as well. We had 2 shows still left on our season tickets at our local performing arts center, but once I get the form, I’m going to donate the offered refund back to them (they said in an email that would be an option). We’re trying to get food delivered every now and then as well, but I agree - it makes me a little nervous too.

Can anyone tell me how you start a new thread or how to reach out to moderators ? The Big list of colleges thread that is pinned, needs some updating but they have closed the discussion. It is something that will continue to evolved and seems silly that it is closed. I would like to use it as a place to point junior parent friends but as it is slightly inaccurate, I was hoping to update it. Thanks for any insight!
Discussions close automatically when they aren’t posted to @Ontheverge . I would love to see a refresh of all the pinned posts in this forum since so many are outdated. If you’re ambitious maybe reach out on http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/community-forum-issues/ and ask if a mod they can open the discussion or unpin it so you can start a new one that can be pinned.

Marymount Manhattan (MMC) is a BFA MT.
Dean College is a four-year BFA in MT (they also offer BFA in acting). Both are audition-required now.
I believe MMC also offers a BFA in Acting.
