The "college experience"

But why is it a problem that colleges are sold on the quality of education? “But other things happen in college too!” isn’t really a reason.

You have a problem with people partying because…

Read the whole thread, I’m not answering that again

Ranting about it on CC isn’t going to solve this thing, or “problem,” as you see it. What are you trying to accomplish with this thread?

He’s obviously trying to attract antagonists like you.

Look, OP, nobody is forcing the college experience on you. There are plenty of ways around it, especially if you live in a college town. I knew tons of kids who came to campus only for class, then rushed off to some off-campus job at the mall and then hung out with their high school friends nights and weekends. If that’s what you want, have at it. For some people, that’s what works.

You make it sound like college is a rite of passage that everyone must go through.

Thats what everyone I’ve talked to about makes it sound like.

OMFB***LOLWOW COLLEGE IS TEH BESTEST EXPERIENCE EVER YOU HAVE TO DORM AND MEET NEW PEOPLE AND PARTI LOLOLOLOL

Have you ever seen the movie, “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”? I have a feeling that you might enjoy it. ;)

The typical college experience is there for those who want it and if it’s not for you, create your own custom college experience; do what makes you happy. Colleges aren’t to blame for the drinking and partying that is associated with college life - that’s a cultural phenomenon passed down from one generation to the next.

Work hard. Party hard. Welcome to America.

I saw the first half of it, not sure what I think of it
