<p>\In my state, there are schools that guarantees free in-state tuition and acceptance in the honors program at a school with access to researchers to those students with GPA of 3.75 and ACT of 27. Private schools can’t compete with the number of scholarships that are available. </p>
<p>Also, if you are planning to be a Dr., it is never a good idea to carry a large amount of debt in undergrad. In this country, you don’t get scholarships to med school, so you will be paying for student loans most of your adult life rather than buying a house. If you don’t get the aid that you need, maybe you should do a gap year and apply to schools the folowing year that match your stats and provide aid (including state schools and HBCs).</p>
