I currently live in Oregon but really REALLY want to go to a particular private school in Pennsylvania. On the college's website it states that the interview is VERY important in the application process. I am extremely busy this summer and am unable to fly to PA for an interview. Are they expecting me to fly over for an interview? Will I not get in without an interview?

Why don’t you call them to ask if they do skype interviews for students unable to visit?

They will probably have you do an alumni interview near where you live, which school are you looking at?

Grove City College. It’s a small, private Christian college. I’m in love with it but my parents are incredibly busy so I am unable to fly for a visit.

I know of it (it is not too far from where I live), I believe they do alumni interviews. If there are no alumni near where you live that can interview you they will not look down on you for not interviewing…

Your parents don’t have to accompany you . Go by yourself, if your family can afford it. I visited a whole slew of colleges by myself in my Senior year. Arranged the flights and learned the various train schedules. Look into it. It’ll be a cool adventure.

If my family is unable to afford it and if I have low test scores will I be out of the running?
