And…Do you usually get into your first or second choice???

Bump It!!!!!!

I'm wondering what the difference between the colleges are as well... like is one the "science" college? I've heard that Muir is the most popular and Revelle is the best.. is that true?

erc is the best...warren is the nerdiest...sixth is the newest and probably has the least amount of people

"erc is the best"

i dont think that's true

I can vouch that I am not nerdy! (in Warren)

At least not very nerdy......

yeah, I'm in Warren...I'm not too nerdy I dont think...maybe...

My D's good friend just graduated from UCSD. He was in Revelle. He ranks this way:

Muir most social/easiest GE/most normal students/most spirited/not the best dorms but nice view

Sixth social/pretty easy GE/quiet but normal students/remote location/some tech geeks/dorms like summer camp

Warren nerdy/engineer types/most flexible of the GE's/nice dorms/love to study all the time

Marshall quiet/nerdy/social but don't party/liberal/more writing in the GE's/ok dorms

ERC mostly women/nerdy types (girls who came to dances in big groups w/out dates in high school/lots of writing and history in the GE's/really nice dorms

Revelle ultra-nerdy/tons of over-achievers who want to be doctors/ultra quiet/don't party/like to study 24/7/nice dorms

Man, I feel insulted. Who likes stereotypes?

Cecile:
Please note the word mostly in my post. You of course are the exception to the rule, since I already know how awesome you are from all of your posts.

Revelle ultra-nerdy/tons of over-achievers who want to be doctors/ultra quiet/don't party/like to study 24/7/nice dorms

Hahahahahaha....it's true...but only for about half the kids here.

;)

Yes I would agree since my D's friend is not at all nerdy, in fact he is quite hot. Mind you these were his generalizations. LOL

wait..so I got into Muir..and want to be a doctor..is it a big disadvantage to be in Muir? Should I have chosen Revelle instead?

No. 4567891

what about erc if i want to become a doctor? bad choice? or does it really not make a difference at all which college you're in..?

It really doesnt matter. Alot of premeds choose Revelle only because the GE's overlap significantly with the pre-med requirements.

:)

oh darn it...im starting to regret it...i also regret the major that i put: microbiology...i should've put bioengineering/premed or something...ahh... -___- are there any premed/doctor wannabes at erc too?

tons. it IS ucsd after all.

;)

yay im not alone...loL...are we able to switch majors by soph year? sorry for asking so many questions ><

you dont have to necessarily switch majors at all. just take classes that can prepare you for med school, and keep ur microbio major. im sorta on that same path with a regular human bio major, i'm in ERC as well.
