The Common App EC Short Answer--What's the point?

<p>Should you be using the short answer to exercise creativity like in the personal statement or is it just like extra room to essentially brag about an accomplishment? Should it be formal? </p>

<p>Does it actually hold a lot of weight in the admissions process?</p>

<p>I mean, considering the word max is 150, I don't see how they can expect people to really write something extremely meaningful or enlightening.</p>
