The Cooper Union - Chemical Engineering

Need advice: How my son can improve his chance to get to Cooper Union-chemical engineering besides having good grades? By the way, what is consider a good GPA for CU? What you think helped you to get to CU?thanks

Hi Dreamcooper,
I’m not knowledgable of CU, but i would suggest you get some basic facts/stats on them by using the SuperMatch college search tool on College Confidential. It is at [College Search - College Confidential](http://www.collegeconfidential.com/college_search/) Go there and use the “Find a Favorite School” feature to “pin” CU to the top of your results. Then enter criteria for your best school match, including your GPA, SAT and ACT. The results should give you a general feel for how well you match CU. After that, two more suggestions for more information are to:

 1. expand the view of CU in the results so that you see the avg GPA/SAT/ACT for last year’s incoming class. You can also click the “More School Info…” link and get a plethora of info on CU. Good luck!

p.s., I’ll also see if there is a more appropriate forum we can move this thread to in hopes of getting you more responses.
