I really wish that I was just rejected back when I did EA instead of them getting my hopes up

Rejected.

6 schools left to hear from, none for 2 weeks.

It was nice getting to know you guys. Hope those of you who haven’t posted yet were admitted.

I’m gunna go smoke a fatass bowl, watch Naked Gun, and go to bed.

Peace,
Michael

I got in!!! I really cannot believe this! Especially not after getting waitlised by washu…

How does the waitlisted letter look?

@iceui2: Can you please post your full stats (or at least enough to give an idea, if not enough to lose your anonymity)?

Reeeeeeeeejected.

Congrats to all the admits!!!
I’m sorry for all the rejects (including myself).

It’s 3:49 AM. I’m going to bed.

Bye.

rejecteddddddddddd

and there comes the end …

My goodness. I didn’t apply but MIT is massacring cc’s best and brightest. Tough, all of you who were rejected are in great company.

Rejected :/

Now I have to wait some mooorrrreeeeee!

lol

got wait listed says I will find out by May 18th?

If other schools want a deposit by May 1st I guess I accept wait list at MIT and send deposit into second choice. Any thoughts on this?

Keep in mind that this year was the most competitive year in the history of MIT.

Yes, this is what you should do. Then when MIT knows if they will have any spots, if you are accepted, you notify the other school that you will not be attending.

There will be more information posted for waitlisted students within the next few days.

Does anyone know how many are wait listed and the historical acceptance % ??

2010: 78 offered places out of 455 WL’ed

2009: 35 offered places out of 629 Wl’ed

Waitlist stats: [MIT Office of the Provost, Institutional Research](<a href=“MIT Institutional Research”>MIT Institutional Research)

It fluctuates every year – obviously it depends on how accurately MIT was able to predict their yield.

They will probably release some statistics in the next few days regarding how many people are on the waitlist. They won’t have concrete numbers on the number of students they’ll be able to accept until after May 1.

QuestBridge finalist-> deferred-> rejected. :(

rejected lol oh well, i’m probably headed to cornell anyways :)
