The Crtical Reading List

Hey, I was wondering if any of you know good Classical Reads (not newspaper articles, editorials,...) or any other book that helps you improve on your critical reading skills. Also, for those using this method; How do you go about reading these books to help improve your reading skills, what do you keep in mind? I'm assuming you can't just read passively to improve your skills (I wish).

Thanks so much for your help

Wuthering Heights, The Scarlet Letter, and anything by Charles Dickens.

Thomas Hardy books helped me. Just keep looking for symbols and tones as you read. Good luck!

Jayne Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Biographies/autobiographies of Famous people (African americas for example…fredrick douglass…I’ve also seen passages on Malcom X).

P.G. Wodehouse.
