The Curious Case of Wesleyan Waitlists/Rejects...

This may be an isolated incidence, but it seems that every kid at my school who applied to Wesleyan RD was either rejected or waitlisted. Most of us are not too fazed (Bowdoin/JHU/CMU/Haverford was favorable, apparently), but what makes it odd for us is that nearly every single year, we get an upwards of half a dozen of kids in...

Thoughts, ideas? Because they rejected some of our strongest applicants this year--similar incidences at other HS?

Wesleyan had like a 20% uptick in applications this year. That might have something to do with it, or maybe Wesleyan just decided that they hate your school.

i got waitlisted too but my school doesn’t get too many kids applying to wesleyan anyway… hm :P

I know they wait listed a lot more people because it’s such a weird year and they can’t predict their yield.

You say in years past your school gets half a dozen accepted at Wesleyan. How many actually enrolled?

38 kids got in from my school last year, but so far the vast majority of the people who applied were waitlisted or rejected…
