<p>I myself can’t. Chinese and Vietnamese are virtually identical in most features. You can tell out some Korean and Indian guys, maybe some Japanese, but not MY race. Impossible.
And ahem… off topic lately. I am the winner of this little “contest”. YAY!</p>

<p>And yeah, its easy to tell names by looking at repeated letter strings, or sounds. Vinh is a dead giveaway that the origin is Vietnamese.</p>

<p>And I’m in the same boat as you, but I could read “Gujarati” and that made me happy! Not only are the scripts similar, but Punjabi, Hindi, Gujarati, even Urdu have some big overlaps… I’m Gujarati but I can understand about half of each other language.</p>

<p>I have the worst girl’s handwriting known to mankind. But one of my friend’s mothers made her write the alphabet every day after school, and that’s why she has the most impeccable handwriting.</p>

<p>well, because my scanner’s not working, this is the only image i could find on my computer of my handwriting, only it includes my brothers handwriting as well. the first three words are my brothers and the next three are mine and the next three words after my brothers and so on…</p>
