Will RD applicants get our decision letters exactly on April 1st or somewhere around that date?

Last year letters were received in New York City on Saturday the 29th of March and were presumably sent on Friday the 28th.

Does anybody know if they send the decisions earlier for International students? I live in Germany and mail needs up to 2 weeks to get here

Vassar has traditionally emailed international students their decisions.

a international student asked ao and got the reply that there will be emails for internationals around 27th this year

16 days to go then...Im so excited and I just cant hide it....thank you charlottezhu

how about domestic students then? are we able to chek decisions online?

Unless the admissions office has changed its policy from last year (I don't think they have), domestic students can only get their decisions via mail.

For those who are accepted at the end of the month, will the FA package be included in the acceptance package? Can any one from last year comment on this?

I'm also curious about their admissions rate this year. Is it a significant drop?

My son got his financial aid package within a week of the acceptance letter, but I think it was close to a week after.

Ugh can't wait. I really wish they had an online system :/

Hang in there! only a 2 more weeks to go =)

When I tried to log in:

"At this late stage in the application process, the online checklist for freshman applicants to Vassar has been closed, and it is too late to submit new credentials other than the mid-year grade report. Admission decisions will be mailed to all applicants by the end of March."

'By the end of March' to me means possibly earlier?? Swarthmore, Wesleyan... a lot of other small lib arts places already sent out decisions. I bet it'll come any day now.

babyloutattoo: i don't think wesleyan and other similar small colleges had released decisions except some early writes.

Oberlin did between the past two days. I'm so nervous about hearing from Vassar. I didn't send them my better SAT scores. Silly accident, bad mistake. I just love the idea of going to Vassar.

FA letter arrive a week later?! Oh man, does that mean Internationals are doomed?
That is, if we even get in.

Gah, where's a short-term coma when you need one?

@ Charlottezhu, two of my friends got into Wesleyan - I thought decisions came out... why would they send an early letter like a week before regular decisions?

A lot of similar colleges have released decisions this week ... I'm hoping that Vassar follows suit!! Can't wait....

babyloutattoo: early writes are like early acceptances, not likely letters. I'm sorry if that's not what you meant!

Wesleyan sent their letters out early last year too. I got mine around the 15th of March. Vassar's came around the 28th, so most likely you'll have to wait another week or two
